Supported by the Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme, Hok Hok Zaap (HHZ): 15 Initiatives of Engaged Learning in Art invites 15 Hong Kong artists and groups to propose a series of teaching plans for engaged learning of art in a community setting, exploring the many possibilities of “learning as social engagement”.
HHZ does not come out of thin air, it is developed from two educational programmes organized by Rooftop Institute — the Asia Seed online learning kit supported by the 5th Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme and designed by 8 Hong Kong and Asian artists, and Hok Zaap, a community outreach and learning programme with artist Ching Chin-wai and Zheng Bo supported by a Hong Kong Arts Development Council project grant.
Different from other community art programmes which invite artists to create site-specific works, live performances or setup spaces as community centres, we advocate “learning as social engagement” where direct strategies will be adopted to reach local communities and implement this concept.
The 15 teaching plans are now available to HHZ paid members as online accessible education resources. Become a HHZ paid member to gain FULL access to these all 15 teaching resources.

Please send a crossed cheque payable to "Rooftop Institute Limited" to "Rooftop Institute, 10/F Foo Tak Building, 365 Hennessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong" together with your desired email address for logging in, contact information, and identity document/certificate of registration on a separate sheet. We will email your initial login information to the email address you provide upon receipt of your membership fee. Note: Please do not send cash in the mail.
Membership is valid until 31 December 2025. Membership fees are not refundable.

Terms and Conditions
- Membership is only available to the registered person, organisation or charity. Membership is non-transferrable or exchanged.
- Membership is non-refundable.
- Membership is valid until 31 December 2025.
- All Hok Hok Zaap materials (including but not limited to all text, images, videos, sound, etc.) is available for non-profit educational purposes only. Unless with prior permission by Rooftop Institute, it is prohibited to reproduce or distribute these materials for commercial use. Rooftop Institute may, if it considers that any member has committed any breach of these terms and conditions, terminate the membership and reserves the right to pursue law upon any violation.
- In case of disputes, Rooftop Institute reserves the rights of final decision.
